Hull Trains have released a 360 virtual tour of inside its new Paragon Trains, and are inviting customers to take a look.
The immersive video allows you to walk through the train carriages, and see what on offer before you book a ticket, including first class carriages, toilet locations and luggage facilities.
Anne Somers, commercial and customer experience director said: “After speaking to our customers, we discovered that many people want to know what to expect before travelling, especially regarding the improved accessibility and luggage storage options on the Paragon fleet.
“The interactive video allows people see exactly where the new USB and plug sockets are, our customers can see how seats are configured, where they can place their luggage and how close they are to the nearest toilets.”
The 360 virtual tour comes a week after Hull Trains debuted their first Paragon train passenger service from the new £60m Hitachi-built fleet. The hi-tech, electric and diesel Hitachi 802 trains will be fully operational by early 2020.
Speaking about the first passenger service, Maryanne Tennyson, host instructor for Hull Trains said: “Travelling on the very first journey has been a real experience and one I won’t forget for a long time. The atmosphere on the train was fantastic, the whole crew were so excited and speaking to all the passengers, I know they were too. A lot of people commented on how much smoother the journey was and the new at-seat trolley service was really popular too.”
Louise Cheeseman, managing director from Hull Trains added: “This is a landmark moment in the history of Hull Trains and marks a new beginning for our staff and the people of Hull. This £60 million investment in transport strengthens our connectivity to the capital, positioning Hull as a leading city of the north.
“Once fully operational, 5,500 more people will be able to travel every week and will enjoy a quieter and smoother ride. Crew and driver training continue as our team continues to roll out all five trains from the hi-tech fleet into passenger service by early 2020.”
