A NEW step-free bridge carrying a bridleway over the Ipswich to Felixstowe branch opened to the public in early September.
The bridge replaces six high-risk foot crossings, providing a safer route across the railway for pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists.
It has been provided as part of the £65million project to increase capacity for intermodal trains to and from the Port of Felixstowe, which will allow up to 10 extra trains per day in each direction. NETWORK RAIL
