Frome Model centre was established in 1986 run by the same family now with Luke England at the helm situated in the historic town of Frome in the beautiful county of Somerset it offers something for every modeller.
With years of experience in the model trade you can be sure to get friendly and helpful advice in the ranges we stock; in the region of 40,000 lines, we are sure to have something for everyone.
At Frome we have specialist on the field of service and repairs from Model Railways and Slot cars. We started fitting DCC in the late seventies / early eighties with the Hornby ZERO system and have grown as a speciality since then.

DCC Chip Fitting
We only undertake the fitting of chips to DCC Ready Locomotives and Digital Ready Slot Cars, we do not undertake retro fitting of DDC chips to Model Locomotives or Slot Cars.
However, we do offer you plenty of information if you wish to have a go at retro fitting chips yourself.
We will also fit “Free of Charge” a DCC Chip to any Locomotive if the Locomotive and chip is purchased from us.
As well as our shop throughout the year you will also find us at Modelling events where our sales team will be there with our stand to give advice and have the latest products for your model railway.
